Leigh Electrical Contractors were carrying out a periodic inspection at a rental property on Leigh-on-Sea Essex and in the list of improvements given to the landlord was that the smoke alarms needed updating.
The current landlords requirements is that every rental property needs at least an L3 smoke alarm system unless its an HMO where an L1 smoke alarm system is required. The alarms also need to be fitted with a lithium I 10 year battery.
Leigh Electrical Contractors had actually fitted the existing Aico smoke alarms so simply updated them to the new lithuim I model.
The lithium I batteries mean you don’t need to change the batteries for 10 years so are a great choice over the 9v batteries.
Leigh Electrical Contractors specialise in Aico smoke alarm installations and have been Approved Aico Installers for many years.
