Wireless Lithium Smoke Alarm Installation | Leigh-On-Sea | Essex
Electrical Contractors were recently called out to a domestic property in Leigh-on-Sea Essex. The customer called Leigh Electrical Contractors as we’re Aico Approved and specialise in smoke alarm installation. The property already had hardwired smoke alarms but on a recent NICEIC periodic inspection (ECIR) we noticed that the alarms were wired but not interlinked.
This meant that if one alarm is set off it doesn’t set any of the other alarms off. Leigh Electrical Contractors advised the customer to update the alarms and to use the Aico wireless module so that the alarms communicate with each other. The lithium I batteries mean you don’t need to change the batteries for 10 years so are a great choice over the 9v batteries.
